OPC Connectivity for SMP Substation Gateways
 Offer
reliable and efficient OPC Data Access to your substation equipment with
minimal configuration effort.
The SMP OPC Server is a PC
application which connects to multiple SMP Gateways to acquire data produced
by their underlying devices. Taking advantage of the large protocol library
supported by the Cybectec SMP Gateway family, the server lets the Gateways
handle the protocol work while concentrating on data publishing for OPC
clients.
When the server connects to an SMP
Gateway, it automatically retrieves the configuration of all the data points
produced by its master protocol components, and subscribes to all data point
updates as they
are published. An OPC client that connects to the
OPC server may then obtain all the data changes via the server’s OPC Data Access
interface.
The server supports versions 3.0, 2.05a and 1.0a
of the OPC Data Access standards.
