Alstom Power—Using an SMP to allow a PLC using Modicon MODBUS to communicate with two IEMOs (Independent Electricity Market Operator), a remote SCADA system, and a GRMC (Generation Resource Management Center), all using DNP 3.0.

Hydro-Québec - Distribution Automation Project—Developing a front-end communication processor (FEP) to integrate various devices used in the distribution automation system, to a distribution control center.

Hydro-Quebec - EMS Center Modernization Project—Using the SMP to connect 200 existing substations, equipped with a variety of legacy RTUs, to Hydro-Quebec's new Energy Management System (EMS) center using the IEC 60870-5-101 protocol over a X.25 WAN.

Hydro-Quebec - National Load Shedder Project—Using the SMP with custom software and hardware modules in order to implement a remote control load shedder.

Hydro-Quebec - Automatic Shunt Reactor Control Project—Using the SMP with custom software and hardware modules to implement an automatic shunt reactor control.

Hydro-Quebec - RTU ModernizationProject—Using the SMP with custom software and hardware modules to modernize existing RTUs.

Hydro One Networks—Using the SMP to connect RTUs and IEDs from different manufacturers to a new Network Management System (NMS).

Los Angeles Department of Water and Power—Using the SMP to integrate multiple types of IEDs and provide substation information to the new LADWP ECC (Energy Control Center). Using Visual Substation as the HMI for local and remote operation and maintenance.

Newfoundland Power—Using the SMP to integrate multiple types of IEDs and provide substation information to the master SCADA, a substation terminal server and the Visual Substation HMI.

New York Power Authority Real-Time Circuit Breaker Condition Monitoring System—Using Visual Substation and SMP communications technology to implement a real-time circuit breaker condition monitoring expert system.

Siemens - CNOOC and Shell Nanhai Petrochemical Project—Using redundant SMPs to develop a fail-safe control system for a major petrochemical plant in Asia.

Tyco Electronics—Using the SMP and Visual Substation to develop a fail-safe control system for a major tunnel lighting project in Asia.

Vattenfall—Using the SMP to integrate IEDs and provide substation information to the SCADA system. Using the SMP's Passthru function to retrieve event and waveform data from the IEDs. Using Visual Substation as the HMI for local and remote operation and maintenance.
