Title: Product Manager – Enterprise Solutions
Reports to: Global Product Director – Substation Automation

CES Description

Cybectec Enterprise Solutions (CES) are a family of applications that are bundled with data concentrator hardware to provide access to electric utilities’ remote sensors and controls. The CES family currently includes: Event Manager, Passthru Manager, IED Manager, Visual Substation, and Data Bridge.

Primary Function: Develops and maintains the CES product line road map. Identifies and documents customer requirements; manages interaction with engineering and manufacturing to ensure product development delivery timeliness, product performance metrics and deliver products our customer need; develop pricing methodologies and cost reduction programs in order to meet product line volume and profitability targets. Works closely with the Gateways Product Manager (data concentrators, I/O devices, hardened CPUs, device protocols, etc)

Essential Functions

  • Develops and manages product life cycles and product roadmap, serving as primary product expert and liaison between marketing, sales, and engineering / manufacturing.
  • Develops, communicates and manages the prioritization of CES Business Case Documents describing the product functionality requests, market potential, and return on investment.
  • Establishes, schedules and manages the Product Launch of new products into the marketplace, developing all product collaterals, pricing structures, samples, and working with Marcom for PR, Advertising, Tradeshow and customer testimonial development.
  • Leads the development and maintenance of various technical marketing collateral including technical documentation, application notes, FAQs, product notes, user guides, field training presentation content and demos.
  • Provides training to sales force and customers.
  • Establishes and maintains hands-on, in-depth knowledge of competitors including business model and products. Maintains technical analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses.
  • Oversees product performance and specifications.
  • Collaborates with sales and manufacturing for production forecasts, communicating delivery/commissioning priorities in the case of production shortages.
  • Coordinates beta testing of new products and features. Documents and report problems and recommend solutions / improvements to Engineering and Technical Services managers. Participates in product performance benchmarking activities.
  • Provides regular updates to identify all current product development projects status, bringing visibility to projects that are behind schedule or at risk.
  • Manages the product manufacturing costs and pricing structure in order to meet margin goals.
  • Develops and maintains pricing structure that support multiple channels to market (direct, in-direct and third party channels).

Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years related IT experience.
  • A minimum of 4 years Product Management experience related to one or more of the following technologies: IT Security, LAN/WAN architecture, SQL Server/Oracle databases, Server operating systems (mainly Microsoft), WEB based applications.
  • Experience related to any Enterprise Level Software project management or product management (SAP, etc) can also be considered.
  • Background in Information Technology, including systems development lifecycle, methodologies, etc.
  • Strong verbal and written English and French communication skills.
  • Under graduate degree in complementary field.
  • Knowledge of competitive products and processes.
  • Good team member who works collaboratively with peers, requiring minimal supervision and direction.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to interface with customers in various subject matter areas.
  • Knowledge of inter-related utility technologies such as data concentrators, communications, enterprise applications.
     

Title: Project Coordinator: Cybectec Service
Reports to: Director: service group
Position Location: Cybectec, Montreal, Canada

Position Overview:

The project coordinator participates to the Cybectec professional service group in Montreal office.


Expected Deliverables & Results:

  • Warranty the quality and the deliverables of each project of service group;
  • Work as project coordinator in each project, billable by the customer.
     

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Assist and/or perform the planning, organizing, controlling, and implementation of projects;
  • Act as project coordinator during project development steps in professional service groups;
  • Coordinate special and on-going projects within time, cost and quality as specified in the project scope;
  • Support all assigned project managers;
  • Continually monitor, revise and ensure resources are deployed to achieve the project plan, identify critical items and activities having impact on the project schedule;
  • Compile and analyze data and prepare technical and financial reports.

Position Qualifications:

Attribute/Skill/Experience

  • Engineering/Computer Science degree majoring in software or electrical degree, PMI or equivalent designation;
  • Extensive knowledge of software professional services and project management
  • Strong technical background in Cybectec products, computer, telecommunications, Energy automation, Ethernet network, protocols, and data acquisition (SCADA);
  • Strong customer service experience;
  • Understanding of North American Electric Utility Industry;
  • Proven ability to communicate complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences;
  • Strong problem solving skills / excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project, Project Server, Portfolio server and other planning software;
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in project coordination;
  • Ability to speak English and French (written and spoken).
